    Manchester United are expected to have a busy summer transfer window with Casemiro departing at the end of the season and Tottenham placing a hefty valuation on defender Micky van de Ven.

    Manchester United are set for a hectic summer transfer window with one major decision already being confirmed. January has been relatively quiet on the signing front, but there's been significant activity in the dugout with Ruben Amorim dismissed and Michael Carrick appointed as his interim replacement.

    His debut match in charge delivered a brilliant victory over local rivals Manchester City, with Casemiro producing an outstanding display. Despite this success, United have announced the Brazilian's departure at the season's end when his contract runs out.

    There was a clause to extend his contract by 12 months, but it hasn't been exercised. Carlos Baleba, Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton emerge as leading candidates to replace him - while a long-standing United target could return to consideration with discussions scheduled to decide his destiny.

    Another Premier League talent has also caught United's attention - alongside several other top clubs - with two significant developments regarding his future emerging. With all this in mind, MEN Sport has compiled the latest United news and speculation;

    Contract talks tipped

    Borussia Dortmund are looking to renew Felix Nmecha's contract amid external interest. United are among the clubs recently linked, though a new deal could scupper any potential transfer.

    That's according to Sky Sports Germany, who report that Dortmund are keen to negotiate a new deal, with his existing contract running until the summer of 2028. Their plan is to stage talks after the winter transfer window shuts.

    Nmecha has netted five goals and provided three assists across 28 appearances in all competitions. His midfield involvement has grown since Pascal Gross's exit.

    Van de Ven transfer truth

    Tottenham have placed a £100million valuation on Micky van de Ven amid "interest" from United and Liverpool.

    The Netherlands international is said to be hesitant about extending his contract in north London, despite his current deal lasting until 2029. Tottenham are determined to retain him, which explains the triple-figure asking price, according to Team Talk.

    Thomas Frank underlined that position with his remarks about Van de Ven's future in his latest press conference.

    He said: "I've just seen Micky today. He seems very happy and smiling. Very happy after the game we won, in the changing room. He's a fantastic player and a fantastic ambassador for this club.

    "He's maybe had his best season for the club. He's growing as as leader and a big player for the future.

    "I would say he is very important player for us. Micky is a Tottenham player for us now - and in the future."
