Alejandro Garnacho has sent Bruno Fernandes a message on social media following Manchester United's 3-2 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. Patrick Dorgu scored an incredible goal to fire United into the lead in the second half following Bryan Mbeumo's equaliser.

Arsenal were able to level the scores, but Matheus Cunha restored United's lead shortly after coming off the bench with a superb strike from the edge of the box. Interim head coach Michael Carrick has made an impressive start to his interim spell, overseeing victories against Manchester City and Arsenal.

After the game, United skipper Fernandes shared a couple of pictures from the match, including one with goalscorer Dorgu, who delivered a strong performance. He wrote: "Ballon D'orgu," followed by a lovestruck emoji.

This prompted a response from Garnacho, who replied with: "T best."

Garnacho appears to have followed United closely since leaving Old Trafford for Chelsea in a £40million summer move, bringing his three‑year spell at the club to an end.

Dorgu also responded to the post, writing "Nice assist," followed by laughing emojis. Cunha then hailed the Portuguese midfielder as the "IQ man."

Meanwhile, Mbeumo, Matthijs de Ligt, Joshua Zirkzee, Diogo Dalot, Lisandro Martinez, Manuel Ugarte and Leny Yoro all 'liked' the post.

Chelsea star Cole Palmer, who has emerged as a potential United target, showed his approval by liking it.

Speaking after the game, Carrick warned his team not to get ahead of themselves, stressing that there are still plenty of games to be played. "I'm not getting carried away," Carrick told reporters.

"We've got some big games, bigger games, coming up, because every next game is the bigger game. So we're not getting carried away.

"We've got really important things coming up that we need to keep improving with. But there's a lot of emotion, a lot of energy and a lot of confidence that you can take from that [beating City and Arsenal], but be humble and understand how we've got these results.

    "That's really important moving forward."

United returned to winning ways in impressive fashion, following up their Manchester derby victory over Manchester City with another win against Mikel Arteta's side to climb into fourth place and strengthen their position in the race for Champions League qualification.
